Fear of flying can really ruin your vacation.
In some cases people can be so fearful that they refuse to get on a plane at all, even though they logically know that it’s the safest form of transport. Others become apprehensive once the flight is booked and then are increasingly fearful as the day of departure gets closer.
There are many reasons why someone might be afraid to fly that are associated with the sensation of flight and also the repercussions of a crash, however unlikely that may be. EFT is a great way to resolve these very real emotions and put your fear of flying to rest.
Recently I worked with a friend of mine, who was due to take a long haul flight of about nine hours. The moment the ticket was booked she became nervous, and as the day approached she eagerly took me up on the offer of guiding her in some EFT tapping.
There were certain points in the routine of a flight that triggered emotional spikes and physical reactions. For example walking down the corridor and through the plane door, getting into the seat etc. Also anticipation of turbulence was a trigger. The physical reactions she expressed were difficulty breathing and constriction in the area of the heart. Being alone during the flight was also a link to other aspects.
We did several tapping rounds to bring down the intensity until my friend could imagine herself boarding the plane quite calmly. She was amazed at how calm she felt and continued to be so right up to boarding. The flight went smoothly and she even said afterwards that she enjoyed it.
So don’t suffer in silence, take some time to transform your fear of flying into a positive experience and an exciting part of your trip. Just think of the adventures your can have and the new places you can see !!
